When to use the Database Only install option

Only use this option on computers where no one will use QuickBooks but the computer stores company files. (For example, a file server or a computer in your network that’s dedicated to storing files.)

For all installations where someone will run QuickBooks on that computer, use the Full QuickBooks install option. This will install both the QuickBooks application as well as the network components required to share files.
